where did you get that camera mount for the dog??? the entire wrap around!!

I bought 2 GoPro hero 7 blacks in 2019 for motovlog. It is now 2024 and they are very unreliable - freeze, turn off by self, over heat. Also, I bough 3 Hero 8 Blacks, 1 in 2021 and 2 in 2022. All three of those do not work anymore - they flat out stopped working. One hero 8, after being on for 20 seconds, like clock work, repeatedly cycles on and off. The other two freeze after running about 1 minute. I am done with GoPros. All three do not give me any quality recording time. Thinking about getting DJI Action camera.

Why is there no live streaming? Is insta360 going backward

Using the desktop app, if I take a longer video and cut it into parts, it looks like instead of retaining the total stats it changes based on the length of the video. For example, at the end of a 5 mile ride I wanted to trim to just show the ending. Despite going 5 miles, the GPS stats show something like going 0.2 miles. Is there no way to have this reflect the TOTAL ride and not just the trimmed portion? I consider it almost worthless as I would never post an entire ride without some editing. Would one have to export the entire movie with the GPS overlay and then do editing into pieces and then export again? Thank you.

Unfortunately, GPS remote doesn't seem to be for diving because it gets damaged... GoPro remote its for diving.

At one point you say that the X3 'has the creative edge'. I feel it depends. I plan my shots and think about what I'm going to do before I shoot. My creative bent is based on planning. Capture everything and then edit, is not how I work. A really interesting video. Thanks

Seems like this great product they stopped making.

I have an X2. I tripped while filming and the camera lens struck a metal utility box as I fell down, hard (my head just missing the box corner). The X2 lens had a mark on it which wiped right off. I had to send the camera in for repair only because the stitch line had been thrown out of whack. Otherwise, the lens was fine. It takes quite a bit to damage the lens apparently. But you may have undamaged lenses and need to have it repaired anyway.

Is there anything that is for desktop? Phones aren't my thing.

Rode Wireless Go is a bit dated now. And the DJI Mic 2 clearly has superior audio quality with the added bonus of noise cancellation features! Both have their charm, but DJI is definitely more equipped for today's needs.
